Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 3, 2026
At ViralTools, we believe that privacy is a fundamental digital right. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, client-side processing, and security when you use our website and utility tools.
1. Client-Side Processing Architecture
Unlike conventional web applications that upload your sensitive documents, personal pictures, or financial figures to cloud servers, ViralTools is built on a privacy-first, client-side architecture.
- Image Tools: Compression, resizing, format conversions (JPG, WebP, PNG), and passport photo creation are executed locally within your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your pictures are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- PDF Tools: Page counting, extraction, and conversions occur entirely inside your browser's local sandbox memory.
- Calculators & Financial Data: Your salary calculations, loan principal amounts, and birth dates remain strictly within your device's memory.
- Developer & Security Tools: Passwords, hashes, and Base64 strings are generated using native
window.cryptobrowser APIs.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require user account registration, passwords, or personal identity details to use our tools. We collect only anonymous, aggregate metrics:
- Aggregated Tool Usage Counts: When a user clicks a calculate or process button, an anonymous counter increment is triggered to power our "Popular Tools" and "Trending" ranking algorithms. No input parameters, IP addresses, or personal data are attached.
- Server Logs: Standard web server log files (such as browser user-agent and timestamp) generated automatically for DDoS mitigation and server uptime monitoring.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use localStorage exclusively to remember your visual preferences, specifically whether you have chosen Light Mode or Dark Mode. We do not use persistent tracking cookies or cross-site tracking beacons.
4. Third-Party Advertisements
We may display non-intrusive advertisements to cover server hosting expenses. These third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may utilize privacy-preserving cookies to serve relevant advertisements according to standard industry guidelines.
